Report Card. The Solar Analytica Assessment Criteria (solar modules) compares the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC solar panel against the industry average, above average and below-average solar module specifications. The data-driven transparency you desire begins here.
Model:
Jinko Swan Bifacial HC (Half-Cell).
Variants:
72M (glass-laminate); 385 / 390 / 395 / 400 / 405 W.Â
72H (glass-glass); 385 / 390 / 395 / 400 / 405 W.Â
TLDR:Â
Setting new boundaries within the bifacial solar module market, the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC gained international acclaim by integrating an ultra-high quality transparent DuPont back sheet instead of a glass-glass encapsulation commonly used in bifacial technology. The result, a solar module design 16% (4.3kG/2.2lbs) lighter than its glass-glass counterpart, ideal for industry or utility-scale projects.
The following detailed product analysis for the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC should be used as a guide only. Individual circumstances and compatibilities must always be taken into account when selecting the ideal solar module. This content comprises the Solar Analytica Module Assessment Criteria based on available product specifications at compilation (refer to post date).Â
1. Design: 80/100
Bifacial enhancement is ideal for capturing the most light energy, including indirect light, from the cell’s rear. However, the most resounding aspect would be the encapsulation incorporated within the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC design. Not only do we understand the advantages of both models; glass-glass (increased strength) and Glass-transparent laminate (lightweight). Jinko took another significant step forward in which most module manufacturers should adhere, naming the laminate substrate manufacturer in DuPont.
After the previous decade of more affordable solar module manufacturing, the laminate substrate (evidently) becomes one of the first elements to perish if refined product qualification is not valued. By naming the source of the substrate material, purchasers gain greater awareness of the product quality incorporated.

3. Efficiency: 66/100
We’ve done our best to ensure the Jinko Swan gets the Efficiency ranking it deserves. However, the Bifacial output-rear side power gain is subjective. Nonetheless, the ability to harvest additional energy from the rear side is actual if installed adequately. Considering the rear side advantage of the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC, the Efficiency ranking improves significantly, affecting the overall product ranking.
The Solar Analytica Module Assessment Criteria only uses efficiency data from Standard Test Conditions (STC) values in the initial assessment. The Bifacial power gain overall scores have been included below the report’s Overall ranking table labelled “Overall ranking adjustment from Bifacial output-rear side power gain (Efficiency).”

4. PERFORMANCE: 82/100
Even though the Performance specifications of the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC alter slightly between models; 72M (glass laminate), 72H (glass-glass), the difference between ranking point outcomes are negligible. The Performance Guarantee Period is considered Outstanding alongside Jinko’s Performance Guarantee Assurance. An altogether Superior Performance profile.

5. Guarantee: 86/100
Not the most significant product guarantee by period, the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC guarantee remains more than suitable for its intended purpose, industry and utility-scale projects. Financiers for such projects often seek no more than a 10-years product guarantee, and therefore, greater than 12-years (144months) would be superfluous. Maintaining a Guarantee balance ensures a result that no doubt affects affordability. Proving that period isn’t everything when it comes to a solar module product guarantee, the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC possess an overall Elite product Guarantee as ideal assurance for the technology at hand.

Overall: 78/100
Overall Superior, the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC, through Bifacial qualities, presents a sophisticated incorporation towards industry and utility-scale projects. Ensuring the rear side remains unobstructed and on a recommended tilted angle from a given surface for optimum rear-side light absorption is where the ultimate value of this Intersolar Award-winning solar panel exists. With two variants, glass-glass or the glass transparent back sheet model, selecting the ideal Jinko Swan Bifacial HC will depend somewhat on the geographical location of the intended project installation as to which is best suited.
Pushing boundaries, Jinko Solar proves to be more than just another mass volume manufacturer of generic module designs. The Jinko Swan Bifacial HC is the first significant recognition of innovation towards a specific module produced by this renowned manufacturer internationally.

The below table depicts the overall efficiency adjustment using values obtained by the rear side power gain and its effects on the overall Efficiency ranking of the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC. In turn, the overall score can be adjusted accordingly at each percentage increase of power gain. The overall score alters by 0.2 ranking points, however, the Jinko Swan Bifacial HC remains a worthy Above Avg (Cat3)/Superior solar module with all elements considered.
