An expansive (perhaps daunting) solar module range, researching the QCells Q.PEAK DUO-G10 can be simplified as a single module type when the fundamental elements remain tightly similar between models. Plus (+) variants affect warranty length only, a portion of all warranty considerations. ML and XL models affect dimensions and, in turn, power output, yet efficiency remains almost identical. Once stripped back to the intrinsic details, a range that incorporates seven module variants is effectively one, the Q.PEAK DUO-G10 (10th Generation) by QCells.

Model:

QCells Q.PEAK DUO-G10.

Variants:

Monofacial.

  • DUO-G10/+ (120-cell); 360-380 W.
  • DUO ML-G10/+ (132-cell); 395-415 W.
  • DUO BLK ML-G10/+ (132-cell); 385-405 W.
  • DUO XL-G10 (156-cell); 475-495 W.

Bifacial.

  • DUO XL-G10/BFG (156-cell); 475-490 W.

TLDR:

QCells seeks to tick the boxes of many investors by introducing a plethora of options under the Q.PEAK DUO-G10 umbrella. Fundamentally, all G10 models incorporate an M6 wafer design (G9 – M4 wafer, 161.7mm) further enhancing efficiency in line with the global market shift of improved power density.

Features:

  • M6 wafer (166mm), half-cell Q.ANTUM DUO Z (zero gap) monocrystalline.
  • Monofacial & bifacial options.
  • Advanced multi-busbar design.
  • Residential and industry designed module options.

Overall: 75/100

Many variances of the Q.PEAK DUO-G10 complicates a final decision a little more than most. Although, the variances that do exist are more so to appease specific market niches. What appears initially daunting ensures the investor seeking the Q.PEAK DUO G10 model has the final say on preferences, with the confidence knowing the fundamentals of the module design remain aligned.

Residential project planners seeking a particular aesthetic appeal may opt for the DUO BLK ML-G10. Meanwhile, those that desire long-term product integrity as a defining attribute may feel greater assurance with a manufacturer’s 25-year product guarantee in two G10+ (plus) models. XL-G10 solar modules will undoubtedly appeal to larger-scale project developers. The key with the Q.PEAK DUO-G10 range is to understand your particular project type to refine the ideal module selection.
