The present release joins national demographic observations to national electricity generation. It does not claim that every resident is connected to the monitored grid or exposed to the same generation mix.
A grid-zone population becomes publishable only when a named boundary is intersected with official small-area statistics or a versioned WorldPop surface. The database stores those allocations separately, including their weight, validity period and method.
