Daily record
Daily statistics are calculated from AEMO's five-minute DREGION records. Demand is scheduled regional demand; the ramp compares the lowest 11:00-16:00 demand with the highest 17:00-21:00 demand in NEM market time.

This selective event ledger is not a complete daily price series. No event record can mean an uncollected day or a day below the event threshold, not necessarily zero negative prices. The current detector emits events from 12 negative intervals (one hour); historical records retain their recorded values.
Windows separate collection gaps longer than 90 days and calendar years. Recorded-day totals count distinct dates with positive interval counts in the selected window, not every negative-price day in the market. Dates retain the source operating-day basis, not the reader's timezone.
Automated event ledger
Each event is generated from a defined threshold or a previous-record comparison. It names the measurement and source without presenting the detection as a causal conclusion.
